Retrieval of Student Personal Belongings

We are beginning the process of allowing students back in to gather their personal effects from the school.  With the numbers of students that require access, and the need to adhere to current physical distancing guidelines, this will require the cooperation of students, staff, and families.

We are asking that students enter only to retrieve personal items from their lockers.  Any school materials (textbooks, sports equipment, musical instruments) that the student no longer requires can be returned to the tables outside of the library.  If these items are still required, we will do another collection towards the end of June.

We will allow up to 10 students in the school at a time, and visits should be limited to 10 minutes or less.  The hope is that if we can adhere to the schedule, no one should have to wait a significant length of time to gain access.  As we need to limit the number of people in the building, students will be asked to enter unaccompanied, unless their parent or guardian is required to assist them.

Students are asked to line up outside of the doors at the rear of the school near the technology classrooms, where there will be a lineup marked.  Up to 10 students will be permitted in at a time, and once one leaves, another will be welcomed in.  Once they enter, they will be checked in and provided with hand sanitizer.  They can then proceed to gather their things, and then check out at the same doors when they leave.

With graduation approaching, we are prioritizing this process for our grade 12 students.  Younger students with a sibling in grade 12 are welcome to come at this time as well.  We will begin with the grade 12’s having access on Monday, June 8th, and the morning of Tuesday June 9th, according to the schedule below.
