Return to School Information for January 25

Welcome Back Reminders
Posted on 01/22/2021

Welcome back everyone.  We are so happy that we will be able to resume face-to-face learning on Monday.  For those of you who worked hard during this recent period of remote learning, please know how much it is appreciated.  We understand that virtual learning is challenging for some students and families, but we appreciate your commitment to ensuring your success.

In preparation for our return, please review the important information below:

  • Please complete the COVID self-assessment daily before leaving for school.

  • All safety protocols (wearing of masks, hand hygiene, physical distancing) must still be followed.

  • Movement throughout the school is still to be minimized so students are to continue to enter and exit the school using the door they used prior to the Break. As before the Break, hallways/bathrooms cannot be places to congregate.

  • Masks must be worn at all times while inside the building; the only exception is while eating in designated areas in the student’s classroom during breaks and lunch.

  • Students are reminded to use the hand sanitizer provided throughout the day; specifically, when entering and exiting the building and when entering and exiting their classroom.

  • If you borrowed a device to support your learning, please bring it back to school on Monday. We loaned out a large number of devices and it is critical that they be returned to support in-class learning.

  • Octo 4 ends January 27; students might be required to come to school to complete summative assessments on January 28—this will be communicated with students by individual teachers.

  • January 29 is a PA Day and Octo 5 will begin on Monday, February 1.

  • Based on Provincial and Public Health directives, it is important that students not congregate in groups during breaks or lunch. In addition to wearing masks in the building, it is also critical that students wear masks outside if they are less than two metres apart.
