Hello Ernestown Intermediate & Secondary School families,

Here are just a few updates as we head into the second term for intermediate families and semester two for secondary families. Jason Quenneville was in last week to work with two intermediate classes on food/kitchen hygiene and knife skills. The students practiced these skills while chopping veggies, and grating  cheese to make some loaded nachos.  The group will take these skills and reinvest them into their French class theme of Pizza, students will be making personal pizzas and will have to order their ingredients in French.

All secondary students can review their exams this Friday, February 6th during our scheduled exam return time. Report cards for intermediate and secondary students will go home on Friday, February 13th. We look forward to a wonderful term ahead!

Grade 8 Information Night- This Thursday, February 5th, You're Invited!
We are proud to host our incoming grade 9 families at our upcoming Grade 8 Information Evening scheduled for Thursday, February 5th at 6:30pm. We're excited to showcase the wonderful things happening at Ernestown Intermediate and Secondary School. Strong relationships are at the heart of our work—they create the trust and confidence students need to take risks, engage deeply in learning, and grow as capable learners and responsible citizens. At Ernestown, belonging and high expectations go hand‑in‑hand. We believe all students can achieve at high levels when given the right opportunities and support. We are proud to be the small school with a big heart.

Semester Two- Medical Plans of Care
We continue to look for Medical Plans of Care for all students with prevalent medical conditions. We will share the information shared with us last semester with this term's teachers, but if you have not filled out a medical form this year, please do so and pass it into the main office of Ernestown.

Congratulations to this Semester's Building Construction Internship Program (BCIP)
Last week, our BCIP students held their Open House to celebrate their hard work in partnership with Brookland Fine Homes. The BCIP Program has been running for 30+ years with over 103 Homes built in the Kingston and Loyalist area. Ernestown is proud to host students from across Limestone District School Board in this program with many students continuing their learning to pursue a job in the skilled trades. We look forward to seeing continued development on the house in the second semester when the next group of builders arrive!
